Week 8

1.      Record the current price of the stock for each company you selected in Week 3’s Stock Journal. You may use any price during this week (e.g., day one price, the opening, the low, the high, the close, or any price you find when you check it during the day).

2.      Determine the current value of your total investment. Do not make any changes to your investment at this time. Calculate your total based on the number of shares and the new price per share, for each company.

3.      Provide your opinion / assessment of your investments. Evaluate the results of your current investment. Are you happy with the result and the trend? Are you upset because you’re investment is worth less than $25,000. Feel free to speculate / guess at why you believe the stock increased, decreased, or remained static.

The three main companies which I will invest my money is as follows: Conifer Holding, Inc, E-Compass Acquisition, and Houlihan Lokey, Inc.

Q.2      Indicate the amount you are investing in each company

I will invest $12,000 in Houlihan Lokey, Inc., $7,000 in Conifer Holding, and $6,000 in Inc, E-Compass Acquisition. The main reason for investing $12,000 in Houlihan Lokey is simply because it is one of the leading global independent investment bank with expertise in financial advisory services, financial restructuring, and those who are specialized in mergers and acquisitions. In addition to this, Houlihan Lokey, Inc serves clients from diverse backgrounds from the United States of America, Europe, Asia, and Australia. On the other hand, I will invest my $7,000 in Conifer Holding because through her this insurance company targets profitable classes of policyholders that are underserved byother insurers. Conifer Holding sells her insurance products through her 4,500 independent agents, and in addition to this, it has 2,200 sales offices in 44 different. Lastly, I will invest my 6,000 in Inc, E-Compass Acquisition because its aim is to enter into asset acquisition or merger share exchange thus it might take very long for me to get significant gain from my investment (http://www.nasdaq.com)

Q.3      Indicate the number of shares you are buying, and the price of shares you are buying for each company.

Houlihan Lokey, Inc., price per share is $21. Therefore it will be $12,000/$21 and it will be 571.43: thus I will buy 571 shares

Conifer Holding price per share is $10.50. Therefore it will be $7,000/$10.50 and it will be 666.67: Thus I will buy 667 shares.

Inc, E-Compass Acquisition price per share is $10.00. Therefore it will be $6,000/$10.00 and it will be 600 shares.
