You must write your own individual analysis of the apologetics of Lesslie Newbigin’s The Gospel in a Pluralistic Society, and evaluate his apologetic approach to the approaches found in Kenneth Boa’s “Faith Has its Reason” in terms of which approach works better to enable Christians to witness or discuss their faith with non-Christians. No other sources are needed for this assignment.

You must write your paper in proper essay format, with a clear thesis and a section of conclusion. You should include section headings and transitional sentences or paragraphs between sections. Your conclusion should tell us whose apologetic approach is superior (the body of your text must tell us why). You must cite passages or page numbers in both Newbigin and Boa to prove your assertions. 

You must consider the following issues or points in your analysis:

· What apologetic school does Newbigin follow?

o  Show this by analyzing how Newbigin answers the 6 metapologetic and 6 apologetic questions (cite relevant passages).

o Analyze the strengths and weaknesses of Newbigin’s answers/apologetic system.  

o Please note that Newbigin may not follow any school exactly.

· What are the strengths and weakness of Newbigin’s approach?

o Does Newbigin’s approach work better than the other approaches in terms of what works better to enable Christians to witness or discuss their faith with non-Christians? 

o Does one of the other approaches work better than Newbigin’s approach in terms of what works better to enable Christians to witness or discuss their faith with non-Christians?

o How and why?

· The paper must cite both Newbigin and relevant passages in Boa in proper format (check the relevant style guide for citing web sites). Please remember that endnotes are not acceptable for this assignment. PLEASE INCLUDE THE PAGE NUMBERS FOR EACH CITATIONS.
